BUEI Explorer's Camp Scholarship
Requirements:
- Student must be enrolled or was enrolled in the BUEI/Ministry of Youth, Sport and Recreation After School Programme.
- Student must be recommended by an After School Programme Supervisor or Assistant if they recognize the student to be very motivated when learning about Marine Science.
- Recommended student must write a one page essay as to why he/she would want to participate in a 1 week BUEI Explorer's Camp and what they feel they would learn from it.
This scholarship is limited to the number of sponsors in any given year and to spaces available in the camps.
Please turn in the essay with contact name and telephone number to the attention of the Education Department in care of Oceans Gift Shop along with a written recommendation from the After School Programme Supervisor/Assistant.
Teddy Tucker Marine Education Scholarship
The scholarship will be for a student to participate in a one week BUEI Explorer's Camp.
Requirements:
- Candidate must be a member of the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute.
- Candidate must have at least a "B" average and must be between the ages of 7 - 13.
- Completed Teddy Tucker Scholarship Application Form
- Copy of most recent Grade Card
- Two Recommendations (from either 2 Teachers or a Teacher & a Principal): No relatives.
- Submit an Essay: Topics to be selected relevant to why they want the scholarship and how it will affect their life if chosen.
- Due Date: March 15th. All of the required paperwork must be turned in at the same time.
Teddy Tucker Scholarship Selection Committee: Member of the Teddy Tucker Family, Director of BUEI, BUEI Education Committee Chairperson, and the Education & Research Coordinator.
Upon completion of the camp, the student will receive a certificate signed and presented by Teddy Tucker.
